Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Shoresh iOS application ("App"), operated by Talking Ventures LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Shoresh is a subscription-based platform for Torah discussion. Verified rabbis and educators lead discussions anchored to primary Jewish texts. Subscribers may read, respond to, and discuss content within the communities they belong to.

Accounts

You must create an account to use Shoresh. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Subscriptions and Payment

Access to Shoresh requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system, subject to Apple's terms. We may offer invite codes that grant complimentary access for a limited period. Subscription prices and billing intervals are displayed in the App before purchase.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Talking Ventures LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content within the App. You are solely responsible for your content and must not post content that is:

• Harassing, threatening, or abusive toward other users.
• Defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.
• Spam, misinformation, or deliberately misleading.
• In violation of any third party's intellectual property rights.

Rabbi Verification

The "Verified Rabbi" designation is granted at our sole discretion based on submitted credentials. Verification does not constitute an endorsement of any specific halachic position or view. We reserve the right to revoke verification at any time.

Community Standards

We expect all users to engage with the respect and seriousness appropriate to Torah discussion. We reserve the right to remove content, restrict accounts, or ban users who violate these standards, with or without notice.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the App's Settings screen. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the App ceases. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Content posted by users, including verified rabbis, represents the views of the individual author and not of Talking Ventures LLC.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Talking Ventures LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
